Places To Visit in The UK

While many people only stick to the main cities like London, Brighton and York, there are so many amazing little villages in the UK. A great way to get around to all of the different places is to rent a car. Don't worry about driving on the wrong side of the road if you're not from a left-driving country. You get used to it really fast. One thing you may not get used to though is the confusing roundabouts that you find all around the UK.

THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO VISIT

When To Travel To The UK

The Best Time To Visit: March-June & September-November

Because of it's relatively temperate climate, the UK can be visited at any time of the year, but in our experience the best time to visit is in Spring (March-June) and Fall (September to November).

This is a time when the weather is generally warmer and drier and it's a good time to see the beautiful flowers in bloom around the country (in Spring), or the leaves changing colour (in Autumn).

The winter months can be cold and wet, but winter can also be a decent time to visit. Some of the attractions, tours and touristy restaurants may be closed during this time, but it's a much quieter time to come for sightseeing, particularly in the major cities like London (aside from Christmas and New Years of course).

The summer is of course, a great time to visit and the temperature rarely gets above 30°C, so it's not oppressively hot. What can be a bit oppressive is the crowds at major tourist sites, particularly in London.

Basically, no matter when you choose to visit the UK, you'll have a good time. It just depends on the type of trip you want to have. If you want to save money and have fewer crowds, then visit in the shoulder or off season. If you want to have the warmest weather, then the summer months are for you.
